Telefónica Deutschland is becoming the OnLife Telco. We are helping our customers to shape their digital life according to their wants and needs. We achieve this with a clear strategy which has been built on our three guiding principles since the merger of Telefónica Deutschland and E-Plus: We are maintaining our momentum on the market. We are successfully completing the integration. And we are driving the digital transformation of our company.
» As an OnLife Telco, we want to help our customers to live a self-determined digital life according to their wants and needs. «
“Everyone has their own wants and ways of doing things. The same is true in the digital world. At Telefónica Deutschland, we want to allow customers to live as they please with appropriate, well-timed digital offerings at any location. We call this OnLife Telco.
OnLife Telco means we offer our customers real benefits in their everyday lives, be it through reliable network coverage for data services and phone calls, efficient customer service or attractive products.
We are breaking new ground to get there. Our new tariff system O2 Free means that our users will never be offline again. And we are the first network operator to launch a mobile-only bank account. Via partnerships with Sky, TV Spielfilm and Napster, we also provide customers with the added value of attractive content on their devices.
We know that our customers want to take care of many things themselves nowadays. This is why we are expanding our online service channels. The hotline, the chat function and the employees in our hundreds of shops will of course still be available for issues that are more complex.
Our network remains the key factor for our success. We are accelerating the integration of our networks. At the same time, we are rolling out LTE. We offer our customers a persuasive network experience in their everyday digital lives. As the OnLife Telco, we have one primary goal: We want to make our customers’ lives better. Everywhere, every day.”
» Our attractive products and services are aimed at monetising our customers’ increasing consumption of data. «
“We are convinced that Telefónica Deutschland is and will be an attractive investment. We have a clear strategy and we deliver on our promises to our shareholders. We have managed to deliver good momentum in the market in 2016 – despite active competition. And we have and will continue to monetize the increasing usage of data from our customers.
We are continuing to benefit from the advantages that have come from the merger with the E-Plus Group. Since that merger we have constituently been able to hit our targets for synergies and sometimes even exceed them. We now have all of the major integration milestones behind us and we are now beginning to switch our focus from integration towards transformation and digitalization.
Here, we have a clear vision: Telefónica Deutschland is the leading digital telecommunications provider, Germanys OnLife Telco. We are taking the opportunity to simplify and digitalize our processes and systems to make us faster, more efficient and effective and finally more profitable. And our customers will benefit from that and get true value in their digital lives. We are of course the mobile provider with the biggest customer base in Germany and we are using that as a basis on which to build further digital growth in the areas for example advanced data analytics and the Internet of Things. We are truly an engine of digitalisation. And our shareholders will also benefit from that with growing dividends over time.”
